Paid plan vs Free account

Every registered user starts with a 14-days Trial plan. During this period you can try all the features that Freelo offers. What is going to happen after the 14-days period? What is the difference between the paid accounts with one of our plans and the free accounts?

Free and Paid plan differences

In the Freelance and Team plans you do not pay per invited user. You only need one paid account (purchased plan), through which you will invite as many users as you need into your projects. In the Business plan you pay per invited user only if you exceed the maximal number of users.

The invited users can stay in the Free plan, which allows them to create 3 active projects and invite 3 other users.

The user with the paid account creates projects and invites colleagues, clients and all other people in order to cooperate.

The paid account is usually managed by the team boss, coordinator, project manager or CEO.

How to manage team projects

In case you want to use Freelo across several teams in one company, register from the general company’s email address and purchase a plan there (for example info@freelo.io). Set the [Project manager roles](https://help.

Admin of the project and Project manager are available roles in Team and Business plans. Both roles can set only the project captain.

Glossary of the basic terms

Captain = Project owner. Only active projects count to the captain’s purchased plan.
Project manager = Can create projects under the captain’s account.
Admin = Can see and do the same activities as the captain in the particular project (invite users, see reports and financial side of the project, remove users).

Project manager

Project manager is captain’s man. Project managers can create new projects up to the purchased plan limit. You can have an unlimited number of Project managers.

Project manager can be an Admin of the project at the same time and help you fully manage projects. Project manager is automatically an Admin of the project that he/she creates.

Go to section Users in the upper blue bar and All users. Via the three-dot menu on the right, appoint a particular user as a Project manager > Appoint Project manager.

How to remove a user

Every invited person can be removed from Freelo. As a project captain or Admin you can remove a person from a particular project or from several projects at once – in this article we will show you both options.

User’s account cannot be fully deleted by you. Each registered user has to cancel their own account only by themselves.

Go to the details of the project and find the section Users.

Find the section Users in the particular project.

As a captain of the project you can remove each user via the red cross at the user’s avatar.

User management and Company Captain

Thanks to verified domain you can manage company users and eventually also teams. Use it for editing personal information, setting email notifications and requesting 2FA. First, however, you have to verify the company’s domain, check how.

Assigning roles, replacing and removing users, or adding users to projects is possible even without the verified domain.

To manage users go to Business Panel > User Management.

Access to To-Do list

Project captain, Admin of the project or Project manager can restrict an access to To-Do lists by setting permissions for other users. You can set up the access when creating a To-Do list or anytime later.

Go to the Users section in the project detail and set up who can see particular To-Do lists. Each user must have access to one To-Do list in the project at least. Click Can see all To-Do lists and select only those you want the user to have access to.

Invite user to one To-Do list directly

You can invite a new user directly to a particular To-Do list in a project. Go to section Users on detail of the project, click on green plus icon and select user. Unselect option Invited users will see all To-Do lists and choose To-Do lists accessed by the user. Confirm by green button Save.
