Both roles can set only the project captain. Glossary of the basic terms * **Captain** = Project owner. Only active projects count to the captain’s purchased plan. * **Project manage**r = Can create projects under the captain’s account. * **Admin** = Can see and do the same activities as the captain in the particular project (invite users, see reports and financial side of the project, remove users). ## Project manager _Project manager_ is captain’s man. Project managers can create new projects up to the purchased plan limit. You can have an unlimited number of _Project managers_. Project manager can be an _Admin_ of the project at the same time and help you fully manage projects. _Project manager_ is automatically an _Admin_ of the project that he/she creates. ### How to set up Project manager Go to section _Users_ in the upper blue bar and [_All users_](https://app.freelo.cz/uzivatele). Create a project via the _plus icon_ in the upper blue bar and click [_Create project_](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/creating-a-new-project/). Enter a project name, choose a currency or set the project view in [kanban](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/kanban-board/). The last option is _Who will be this project’s captain?_ Select a user who purchased a plan for your company. The project captain is most likely your boss, employer or a client you work for. This person always has to be chosen as captain of the project. Once you select the captain, he/she will be pre-set for the next time. ### How to cancel an automatic Admin role for Project manager If you do not want your _Project managers_ to be _Admins_ in projects, you invite them to automatically, just cancel this option in your [_Settings_](https://app.freelo.cz/profil/nastaveni). ![](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/f85bc4cbee4a3000/ea7e0664-2f55-40d8-9d19-84b2f4_1yge8y4.png) If you want your Project manager to be an Admin in your projects where you invite him, turn on the checkbox as in the screenshot. ## Admin role _Admin_ of the project can see the project the same way as its _Captain_. That means the _Admin_ can see all [financial and time reports](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/time-tracking-tracking-time-over-the-task/) of other users and [budgets](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/project-budget/). _Admin_ can invite and remove other users from the project, setup the access to _[Notes](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/project-notes/)_ and _[To-Do lists](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/setting-user-rights/#access-to-to-do-lists)_. _Admin_ is appointed for a particular project by its captain. _Project manager_ is automatically an _Admin_ of the project that is created. ### How to set up an Admin of the project Go to the section _Users_ in the upper blue bar and [_All users_](https://app.freelo.cz/uzivatele). Remove the role the same way. ## Tips & Tricks 1. Give the right to create new projects to chosen people. Appoint them as _Project managers_. 2. Appoint more _Admins_ so the managing and delegation is not up to one person only. 3. The captain (project owner) can be changed anytime when [transferring a project](https://help.freelo.io/en/help/change-the-owner-captain-of-project/). 4.
